4th Bhojpuri Film Awards announced
In a glittering ceremony the 4th Bhojpuri Film Awards were announced at the Goregaon Sports complex on Saturday, 30th May.
Bhojpuri Super-star Ravi Kishan has been selected as the best actor for 4th consecutive year.

भोजपुरी फिल्म अवार्ड में चला रविकिशन का जादू
चतूर्थ भोजपुरी फिल्म अवार्ड में इस साल भोजपुरी फिल्मो के सुपरस्टार रवि किशन का जादू सर चढ़ कर बोला. रविकिशन ने न सिर्फ बेस्ट ऐक्टर के खिताब पर कब्ज़ा जमाया बल्कि उनकी चर्चित फिल्म बिदाई को पॉँचअलग अलग अवार्ड से भी सम्मानित किया गया. शनिवार की शाम मुंबई के गोरेगांव स्पोर्ट्स काम्प्लेक्स में भोजपुरी फिल्म जगत से जुड़े लोगो की मौजूदगी में एक रंगारंग कार्यक्रम के बीच विभिन्न श्रेणियों में अवार्ड दिया गया. साल २००८ की सबसे चर्चित रही फिल्म बिदाई को सर्वश्रेष्ट फिल्म, निर्देशक, कहानी , पटकथा और अभिनेत्री का पुरस्कार मिला. अभिनेत्री रिंकू घोष ( दुर्गेश नंदिनी) को सर्वश्रेष्ट अभिनेत्री के पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया.
असलम शेख को सर्वश्रेष्ट कहानीकार, पटकथा लेखक,और निर्देशक का पुरस्कार मिला , अन्य पुरस्कारों में सीमा सिंह को बेस्ट आइटम डांसर राकेश पांडे को लाइफ टाइम अचीवमेंट अवार्ड, सिकंदर खरबंदा को सहनायक पुरस्कार , शैलेन्द्र श्रीवास्तव को सर्वश्रेष्ट खलनायक का पुरस्कार, कल्पना शाह को सर्वश्रेष्ट न्यू कमर (फिमेल) पुरस्कार, अजय दिक्षित को सर्वश्रेष्ट न्यू कमर (मेल) पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया. कुमार शानू को फ़िल्म विधाता के लिए सर्वश्रेष्ट गायक, धनञ्जय मिश्रा को सर्वश्रेष्ट संगीतकार और अशोक कुमार दीप को सर्वश्रेष्ट गीतकार का पुरस्कार दिया गया। भोजपुरी फ़िल्म अवार्ड में बतौर अतिथि सांसद डॉक्टर संजय जैसवाल, सांसद रशीद अल्वी , अभिनेत्री नगमा, मोहनजी प्रसाद, अभय सिन्हा, प्रचारक उदय भगत, प्रशांत-निशांत सहित हजारो लोग मौजूद थे। लगातार चार बार बेस्ट ऐक्टर का अवार्ड जीतने के बाद अपनी प्रतिक्रिया व्यक्त करते हुए उन्होंने कहा की अवार्ड का श्रेय उनके दर्शको को जाता है.
मल्टीप्लेक्स पहुंची भोजपुरी फिल्म
Last Sunday was a memorable day for Bhojpuri Cinema when Bhumiputra had its premier show in a multiplex Cinemax like the Hindi films. It was a gala show with Ravi Kishan, Pakhi Hegde, Harry Fernandes, Dr.AM Khab, Kunal Singh, Anara Gupta etc present. As the film is based on the anti-north-Indians movement of MNS president Raaj Thakre, Vice president of MNS Mr. Vagsih Saraswat was specially present to review the film. Ravi Kishan has sung Jay Jay Maharastra in the film.
भूमिपुत्र का भव्य प्रीमियर
कभी अनपढ़ गवारों की फिल्म कही जाने वाली भोजपुरी फिल्म जगत के लिए रविवार का दिन खुशियों भरा दिन था, जब मुंबई के सिनेमेक्स में भोजपुरी फिल्म भूमिपुत्र का भव्य प्रिमियार हुआ . भोजपुरी फिल्मो के सुपरस्टार रविकिशन अभिनीत इस फिल्म के लिए बॉलीवुड की बड़ी हिंदी फिल्मो की तरह अँधेरी स्थित सिनेमेक्स को सजाया गया था. राज ठाकरे की राजनिति पर आधारित इस फिल्म के प्रिमिअर पर फिल्म के कलाकार रविकिशन , पाखी हेगडे, मानसी पांडे, अनंत जोग, आदि ईरानी , निर्देशक हैरी फ़र्नान्डिस , निर्माता डॉक्टर ए.ऍम.खान अभिनेता कुनाल सिंह, अनारा गुप्ता, सहित भोजपुरी फिल्म जगत की जानी मानी हस्तियाँ मौजूद थे. चूँकि फिल्म राज ठाकरे के उत्तर भारतीय विरोध पर आधारित है इसीलिए मनसे के उपाध्यक्ष वागीश सारस्वत भी फिल्म देखने पहुंचे. 
भूमिपुत्र में रविकिशन नौकरी की तलाश में बिहार से मुंबई आते हैं और यहाँ वोट की राजनिति से उनका वास्ता होता है। निर्देशक हैरी फ़र्नान्डिस के अनुसार भूमिपुत्र में भूमिपुत्र शव्द की सही परिभाषा बताई गई है। हैरी के अनुसार भूमिपुत्र को किसी क्षेत्र से जोड़ा जाना ग़लत है क्यूंकि हम लोग भारत के भूमिपुत्र हैं न की किसी राज्य, जिले या किसी गाँव के । रविकिशन ने भूमिपुत्र पर अपनी प्रतिक्रिया व्यक्त करते हुए कहा की मुंबई हमारी कर्मभूमि है , यहाँ की कमाई से हम गाँव में घर बनाते हैं, माता पिता के सपनो को साकार करते हैं, बहन की शादी के लिए पैसे जुटाते हैं इसीलिए हमें अपनी कर्मभूमि से प्यार है। भूमिपुत्र में भी मैंने यही बात कही है यही नही मैंने महाराष्ट्र के लोकप्रिय गान जय जय महाराष्ट्र माझा को भी गाया है।

हमेशा अपना पहिला पसन्द पर काम करे वाला निर्माता जीतेश दूबे के नयकी भोजपुरी फिलिम मुन्नी बाई नौटंकी वाली अब जल्दिये रिलीज होखेवाली बा. एह फिलिम का बारे में कहल जा रहल बा कि ई अपना वितरकन खातिर जैकपॉट साबित होखी. एह फिलिम के सगरी टेरिटरी, वितरण क्षेत्र, अपना हाइयेस्ट दाम पर बिक चुकल बा. एहसे निर्माता जीतेश दूबे गजब उत्साह में बाड़े. जीतेश दूबे एकरा पहिले सुपर डुपर हिट फिलिम धर्मवीर बना चुकल बाड़े आ एकहालि फेर से देखनिहारन के दिल जीते का तइयारी में बाड़े.
मुन्नी बाई नौटंकीवाली के निर्देशन बाली कइले बाड़े. मुन्नी बाई का किरदार में बाड़ी भोजपुरी के शानदार नायिका रानी चटर्जी. पूरा फिल्मी दुनिया के निगाह लागल बा एह फिलिम पर आ सबके उमेद बा कि ई फिल्म सफलता के नया रिकार्ड बनाई. जीतेश दूबे से भइल बातचीत में ऊ कहलें कि धर्मवीर का बाद तय कर लिहलें कि एगो लीक से हट के फिल्म बनावे के बा आ भोजपुरीया दर्शकन के ध्यान में राख के मुन्नीबाई नौटंकीवाली बनावल शुरु कइलें. कहलन कि ई उनकर ड्रीम प्रोजेक्ट बन गइल आ एकरा खातिर ऊ रातदिन एक कर दिहले रहले. नौटंकी वाली लड़कियन के कहानी सुन के ऊ रो दिहले रहलें आ फिलिम में उहे सब देखावे के कोशिश कइलें जवन वास्तिवक जिनिगी में हो रहल बा.
मुख्य किरदार खातिर रानी चटर्जी उनकर पहिलका पसन्द रहली. आ दूसरका कवनो पसन्द के गुंजाइशे ना रहुवे. जीतेश दूबे कहलन कि धर्मवीर स उनका पहचान मिलल आ अब मुन्नी बाई देख के दर्शक उनका के माथ पर उठा लिहन.
फिलिम का निर्मान से पहिले वास्तविक नौटंकी करे वाली लड़कियन से बात कइल गइल, ओकनी के जिनिगी के नजदीक से देखल सुनल गइल, गां देहात में शामियाना टेंट लगावे वालन से बात भइल आ नौटंकी चलावे वाला लोगन से जानल गइल कि सांच का हऽ. तब एह फिलिम के निर्माण शुरु भइल. एह पूरा रिसर्च खातिर फिल्म के निर्देशक बाली का देखरेख में एगो टीम बनल रहे. कलाकारन के चुनाव, संगीत इ कास्ट्यूम के चुनाव पर कवनो समझौता ना कइल गइल. बालीओ देखा दिहलन कि ऊ गजब के निर्देशक बाड़े. हम त उनका के लाजवाब निर्देशक कहेम, कहलन जीतेश दूबे.
बाली का साथ साथ फिल्म के पूरा टीम कमाल के काम कइले बा आ अइसनका टीम खातिर हम अपना के खुसकिस्मत मानत बानी, जीतेश बतवलें. बकौल जीतेश दूबे श्याम देहाती के लिखल गीत आ मधुकर आनन्द के संगीत सबके झुमा के राख दीहि. बतवलन कि ई फिलिम हर टेरिटरी में अबले के सबसे बेसी दाम पर बिकाइल बा.
अपना अगिला फिलिम का बारे में बतियावत जीतेश दूबे कहलन कि धर्मवीर के हिट जोड़ी निर्देशक असलम शेख आ सुपरस्टार रविकिशन के लेके तू ही मोर बालमा बनावे जा रहल बाड़े. ओह फिलिम में भोजपुरी के चर्चित अदाकारा मोनालिसा का साथही अभिनेता दीपक दूबे आ बृजेश त्रिपाठी के साईन कर लिहले बाड़न फिल्म के संगीत धनंजय मिश्रा दीहें.
Pakhi Hegde exclusively on Sangeet Bhojpuri
'Bhoomiputra' is about present day politics. Ravi Kishen, who plays the lead role in the film, is a Bihari youth who loves a Marathi girl. The inevitable Bihari Marathi issue crops up in the film. But the film shows that this is vested interest issue and that the people love each other in reality.
The interesting part of the movie is that in this movie Ravi Kishen has played several characters. In some of the scenes, he will be seen as superman and in some scenes, he will be seen dressed as a girl.
Sangeet Bhojpuri interviewed actress Pakhi Hegde who is the heroine in this film. During the interview she said that it was the first time she is playing the role of a Marathi police inspector. She has also talked about how the preparation done for that particular role. Pakhi Hegde describes her memorable moments during the shooting of the film 'Bhoomiputra'.

Movie Review: Bidai - Ravi Kishan's Bhojpuri Hit
Bidai is the tragic story of a young bride made to suffer like a widow. If you have not already seen the Bhojpuri Film Bidai,do see it.
This is one of those rare Bhojpuri films which are suitable for family viewing and every viewer of Bidai has words of praise and recommendation for it. Dowry still rules in North India and dowry victimisation is sentimnetally potrayed in this film directed by Aslam Shekh.
The story of the film Bidai is based in a real life torture of a daughter of a poor typist of Bihar who could not fulfill the demands of the occasion of Bidai properly. Mother-in-law and sister-in-law of Sugandha chop off her hairs and send her back to her paternal home so that her father is forced to organise the Bidai as per thier desires. 
The film Bidai is hit in Bihar and is performing likewise in Mumbai too. It is getting a very good response and every viewer says that Bidai is a must-see Bhojpuri film.
नेशनल अवार्ड विजेता टीम फिर साथ साथ
तीन साल पूर्व भोजपुरी फिल्म जगत में तब एक नया अध्याय जुड़ गया था जब कब होई गवना हमार को नेशनल अवार्ड से सम्मानित किया गया था. प्रसिद्द गायक उदित नारायण की होम प्रोडक्शन की इस फिल्म के निर्देशक आनंद गहतराज थे, जबकि फिल्म में रविकिशन और दिव्या देसाई मुख्य किरदार में थे. निर्मात्री दीपा नारायण की इस फिल्म को सर्वश्रेष्ट रीजनल फिल्म की श्रेणी में पुरुस्कृत किया गया था. नेशनल पुरुस्कार के कारण भोजपुरी फिल्म जगत का सीना गर्व से फुल गया था, साथ ही इस फिल्म उद्योग को लेकर आम फिल्मकारों की गलत भावना भी समाप्त हो गयी थी.
यही वजह है की कई कारपोरेट कंपनियों ने भोजपुरी फिल्म निर्माण के क्षेत्र में कदम रखा . महिंद्रा एंड महिंद्रा की रविकिशन - निरहुआ स्टारर हम बाहुबली, बाबा आर्ट की रविकिशन स्टारर बिहारी माफिया, रियल स्टोन की रविकिशन -सुदेश बेरी स्टारर आपन माटी आपन देश आदि फिल्मो का निर्माण कारपोरेट कंपनियों ने ही किया था. नेशनल अवार्ड पाने के बाद उदित नारायण की होम प्रोडक्शन कंपनी यू.डी मूवी ने दो और फिल्मो का निर्माण एव एक फिल्म को प्रस्तुत किया , लेकिन पिछली सफलता वो दोहरा नहीं पाए . लम्बे अरसे के बाद एक बार फिर नेशनल अवार्ड विजेता टीम साथ साथ आ गए हैं. फिलहालउनकी इस अनाम फिल्म की शूटिंग गुजरात के राज पीपला में चल रही हाई. रविकिशन के अनुसार इस बार भी हमारी टीम कुछ ऐसा करेगी जिससे भोजपुरी फिल्म जगत का नाम होगा.
Chandni Bar of Bhojpuri Cinema -"Munni Bai Nautanki Wali"
You are soon going to see the real story of nautanki girls who organise their shows in the tents and tamboos during marriages and other festive occasions in the villages.
Rani Chatterjee is playing the lead role of Munni Bai Nautanki Wali. It is said that as Tabbu has brought tears in viewers eyes with her sensitive role play in Chandni Bar, a famous Hindi Film, Rani Chatterjee too will win their hearts.
Jitesh Dubey, producer of the film and belonging to a political family, says, I have seen the exploitation of nautanki girls during my attendances at various marriages. No one cares to listen their woes, their pain, their reality. Still they continue entertaining the crowd. This film tries to tell that reality to the public at large.
Bali, famous choreographer who has directed this film and also has an important role too, says, We started crying listening the story for the film. I hope the film does justice with Nautanki Girls.
Rani Chatterjee, Munni Bai of the film, says that the film tells a painful story while it entetains the viewers with its songs and dance sequences. The film also carries a mesage for us all.

4th Bhojpuri Film Awards on May 30, 2009 at Goregoan Sports Club, Mumbai
The fourth season of Bhojpuri Film Awards (BFA) will be organized on 30th May at Goregaon Sports Club (Mumbai).A press conference announcing the same was held at Raheja Classic Club recently, which was attended by Udit Narayan, Kumar Sanu, director Sawan Kumar, Mohanjee Prasad, Rajkumar Pandey, Actor Kunal Singh, Surendra Pal and others.
"All the Bhojpuri films released in 2008 may submit their nominations at our office and our jury will choose the best among them," said Vinod Gupta, President of the organizing committee.
Organized every year by "Bhojpuri World", the Bhojpuri Film Awards were started in 2006, with a vision to honour the people behind Bhojpuri films. Awards are given in 25 categories, which include best Actor, Actress, Director, Singer, Film, etc. Apart from this, there are special Lifetime Achievement awards and one special award for a patriotic film.
Every season of awards has been pretty successful, although some big names of industry have always preferred to stay away from these awards. The fourth season of awards will be broadcast on SAB TV.

भोजपुरी वर्ल्ड का तरफ से दिहल जाये वाला एह अवार्ड के संस्थापक विनोद गुप्ता हउवन जे लाख आलोचना आ टंगरी खींच कार्यक्रम का बावजूद अपना काम में लागल बाड़न. अवार्ड कार्यक्रम के घोषणा मशहूर बालीवुड निर्देशक सावन कुमार कइलन आ बतवलन कि अवार्ड एह साल ३० मई का दिने गोरेगाँव स्पोर्ट्स क्लब में आयोजित समारोह में दिहल जाई. पद्मश्री उदित नारायण आ पद्मश्री कुमार शानू का साथे प्रमुख निर्देशक मोहन जी प्रसाद, भोजपुरिया महानायक कुणाल सिंह, अभिनेता सुरेन्द्र पाल प्रेसवार्ता कार्यक्रम में मौजूद रहे लोग. पिछला साल प्रदर्शित फिलिम के एह अवार्ड खातिर नामांकित करावल जा सकेला. जूरी का निर्णय अनुसार पचीस गो अलग अलग कैटेगरी में अवार्ड दिहल जाई. राष्ट्रीय भावना से ओतप्रोत फिल्म के भगवती प्रसाद गु्प्ता पुरस्कार, आ भोजपुरी फिल्मन में आजीवन योगदान खातिर विश्वनाथ शाहाबादी पुरस्कार एह सबसे अलग होखी. कार्यक्रम के जीवन्त प्रसारण सोनी समूह का सब टीवी पर कइल जाई.
Kalpana sings for Marathi Film
Singer Kalpana,the biggest crowd puller in Uttar Pradesh & Bihar is riding high on the release of her new solo promotional Marathi song Gallit Gondhal, Dillit Mujara Kara from the film Gallit Gondhal, Dillit Mujara which is currently burning the airwaves and released on May 1,2009 by Zee Talkies. Considering her success in Bhojpuri music industry, this song is certainly special for her. Kalpana shares,“I’m very upbeat about this song in particular, as I have sung it in my style with a lot of personal touch It’s an energetic track featured in the movie. I guess for every artist it’s very important to sing in a way that the listener can connect to the song and have a feeling of owning the song,” smiles the singer. Music is by Shailendra Barve.
